Executive Team
PresidentJeremy NinanHey everyone! My name is Jeremy Ninan, and I’m a P3 at UHCOP. I’m thrilled to serve as SSHP President for the 2025–2026 school year! I completed my pharmacy prerequisites at Texas A&M and currently work as a pharmacy intern at Houston Methodist through their longitudinal MILE program. After pharmacy school, I plan to pursue a residency in transplant, cardiology, or critical care. SSHP has played a huge role in helping me connect with both fellow students and pharmacists across the Houston area. Our events provide great opportunities to network, learn about different specialties, and explore the residency pathway. If you’re curious about residencies or want to learn more about what clinical pharmacists do day-to-day, SSHP is the perfect place to start. I’m excited to work with all of you and make this a memorable year!

President-ElectBrinlee FreemanHey everyone! My name is Brinlee Freeman, and I'm currently a P2 at UHCOP. I received my Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University (Gig em!) and I currently work as a Pharmacy Extern at MD Anderson through their longitudinal program. I'm super excited to be serving as President-Elect of SSHP this year. I joined SSHP during my P1 year because I knew I wanted to pursue a residency and was eager to explore all the opportunities and resources available. Over the past year, I've grown so much both personally and professionally, and I'm incredibly grateful for the connections and experiences I've gained through this organization. My current interests are in pediatrics and oncology, and SSHP has truly opened my eyes to the many possibilities within pharmacy while giving me an early and valuable understanding of what residency entails. This year, I hope our team can continue to educate students, guide them through the many different career paths available, and create meaningful opportunities for growth. I can't wait to meet everyone and see what this year has in store!

VP of CommunicationsAlec ChanHi! My name is Alec Chan, and I’m from Sugar Land, TX. I’m currently a P3 pharmacy student. I chose to pursue pharmacy because I’ve always been drawn to the unique blend of clinical knowledge, patient care, and problem-solving that the profession offers. My favorite thing about SSHP is how it connects students to real-world clinical opportunities while building a strong professional network. Through SSHP, I’ve been able to attend residency events, connect with mentors, and grow as both a student and a leader. This year, as Vice President of Communication, my goal is to keep our members engaged and informed while highlighting all the incredible things our chapter is doing. Outside of pharmacy, I enjoy playing volleyball and pickleball, exploring new coffee spots, and working out. I’m excited for another year of learning, leading, and connecting through SSHP!

SecretaryAnnelaure NguyenHi everyone! My name is Annelaure and I’m a P2 - this year i’m excited to serve as SSHP’s secretary! I’ve lived in Houston for 10 years now so I would say that’s my hometown for sure. My favorite thing about SSHP is how inclusive everyone is and what an integral role it played in broadening my knowledge about hospital pharmacy. Prior to pharmacy school, I had no idea what residency or clinical pharmacy even entail, but after just one semester, I’ve gained so much knowledge through the many opportunities that this org has to offer and continuous exposure in the field. In my free time, I love watching asian dramas, playing board games, and trying out different houston food restaurants!

Hi everyone! My name is Megan Huang Frazier and I’m a currently a P4 at UHCOP, and I am the Immediate Past President for the 2025-2026 school year! I received my Bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University (whoop!) and my Master’s degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Medication Safety Sr. ChairAllison ChunHi everyone! My name is Allison and I am a P2. I am from Katy, TX and went to UH to complete my pre-requisites before entering UHCOP. I decided on pursuing pharmacy after working as a pharmacy technician in my senior year of high school, and thought it matched my goals of being an expert in my field of study while also having a great impact on patient health. I decided to join SSHP as a P1 to learn more about health-system pharmacy, and I stayed because I truly believe we help connect students to their future careers. One of my favourite events is the residency mentoring social, since it provides a great opportunity to talk to different health-systems and gain a wider perspective of what pharmacists can do and achieve in their careers. In my free time, I’m often watching a new drama or getting boba with friends. My goal as med. safety senior chair this year is to enjoy my time with the rest of the team and help plan and execute some great events for this year!

I’m super excited to spread antibiotic awareness and perform outreach events to begin my journey in antimicrobial stewardship, and I can’t wait to work with the SSHP team this year. This is a great org to gain insight about residency and clinical practice, as well as connect with driven, ambitious members through the extensive ASHP network. In my free time, I love trying new restaurants, listening to music, playing volleyball, and rewatching Gilmore Girls. I look forward to meeting everyone!
